Marine upholstery on the Gulf Coast isn't like upholstery anywhere else. It lives outside. It gets baked, soaked, salted, and used hard. We build it to last through all of it.

We work in true marine vinyl, quick-dry foam, UV-resistant thread, and stainless fasteners — nothing that'll rot out on you by next season. If it's on the water anywhere from Mobile Bay to Destin, we've probably rebuilt one.

Meet MAD
MAD Upholstery is a family-owned workshop in Pensacola, Florida, serving the Gulf Coast from Mobile and Fairhope to Destin and beyond. We work the way upholstery has always been worked — by hand, one seam at a time, with materials chosen to last.
The mascot came out of the shop. One afternoon somebody pinned a pair of scissors up on a cushion like ears, pressed on two blue buttons for eyes, stitched a crooked red smile, and stuck a needle on top for an antenna. He stuck around. He's a face made entirely of upholstery tools. Seemed about right for us.
Whether it's a grandparent's reading chair, a custom banquette built from a sketch, or a boat interior that has to stand up to salt and sun for another ten seasons — same approach. Honest work. Fair prices. Something you'll be proud to live with.
